Agenda
|
The Qatar Public Safety and Security Summit gathers key stakeholders in Doha over two days to explore the rising demand for safety and security services and solutions in the city.
Qatar plans to spend an estimated $100 billion over the next five years on infrastructure projects including road and rail networks as well as an additional $900 million by 2013 for hospitality projects to cater to the rising population demands and the growing influx of tourists to the nation. As Qatar prepares to take centre-stage in the region as the official host nation of the 2022 FIFA World Cup, significant investments to secure and protect the country’s assets and create safer public spaces for civilians have become a top priority for both the public and private sectors.
The Qatar Public Safety and Security Summit serves as the bi-annual gathering for government authorities, municipalities, large scale project owners and developers as well as regional and international safety and security specialists to identify, investigate and resolve safety and security challenges in Qatar. |
